Favorite or Beautiful Word: I don’t have a favorite word, but here is a beautiful one. I just saw this the other day and LOVED IT!  Hypergraphia: an overwhelming urge to write.

#thingsIneed #WritersRelief #newwordalert:

1 ~ What is one book you think everyone should read?
Three People by Isabella Alden. . . I know I know. . . I have mentioned this MANY times before.
2 ~ What book series that you (or your family) owns has the most books?
Pfft. . . Elsie Dinsmore, hands down. She takes the cake y’all.

3 ~ What book left you wanting to throw it across the room? (For content reasons or otherwise.)
Gee. . . that is a hard one. I rarely read books with bad content, and if I do, I don’t finish them, but throwing it across the room because I was mad or upset at a certain character or storyline? *think think think* OH! NO!!! I have one! I had to scroll through my goodreads list to find it. . .but I found it!!!! Emily’s Quest by L.M. Montgomery. I was so mad. Like the first two books were great. . . and then BAM! She went to awkwardville and TOTALLY RUINED IT! *sobs* I was so mad! L. M. Montgomery is the bomb y’all but this book was just so far in left field.

4~ How late have you stayed up reading a book?
Um. . . like, midnight? And that was only like once. *cringes* I am so weird. I feel like I am sinning or something if I stay up later than 11. LOL!

5 ~ Do you like first person present tense?
Well, I don’t mind it if someone is telling me something. . . but it would probably drive me a little crazy in a book, unless it was done right. I am not too picky about stuff like that. I wouldn’t write it though.

6 ~ Which standalone book do you think should be a series?
Shucks. . . that is a hard one. . . I feel like so many things these days are series. OH! *freaks out* I would just faint from excitement if this had a sequel. The Great and Terrible Quest by Margaret Lovet. Swoon. Seriously, I might actually not be able to handle it.

7 ~ What series do you wish had another book or two?
Elsie? LOL! JK JK! The Millie Keith Series would be a great one. Love that series.

8 ~ Who is your favorite author?
*blink blink* Can I pick more than one? Gene Stratton Porter, Isabella Alden, Grace Livingston Hill. *beams innocently* I didn’t break any rules, right?

9 ~ Kindle or paperback?
Paperback is ALWAYS preferable, but I do kindle rather frequently because I can’t afford paperback. *distant sobbing* Such is life.

10 ~ Do you like reading ahead for spoilers?
NO. NO NO NO. Just ask my friends. . . . they know I don’t like spoilers. See this post where I ranted about spoilers a bit.

11 ~ What genre do you read most often?
Um, Christian fiction? That’s a genre right? Though, that can include a lot of things. Otherwise, I like most stuff. Anything Christian. I love fantasy, but don’t often find good stuff. Oh duh Don’t know why I didn’t think of this. . . Historical for sure. Hands down.  The books I have read the most of have been books written before 1950.

12 ~ Do you write reviews for books you read?
Ever since joining goodreads, yes. All the time. I sometimes share them here on the blog too, but not always, because I would be reviewing books all the time then.

13 ~ How many books do you own? (Be honest!)
Gosh, I have no idea. I would say from last count that I have about 500 physical books and probably like 200ish kindle books? Totally speculating. An educated guess though. I just have some in storage so it is hard for me to know for sure.

Questions for you: (I am super busy this week *whispers* and a little lazy, so I am going to recycle Rebekah’s questions because they were just awesome so why not?

  1. One book everyone should read? Hmmmm. Just one? Ah, we’ll go by category. That’s allowed, right? =D
1800s Christian fiction: The Hoosier Schoolmaster by Edward Eggleston. Adventure, mystery, good guys, bad guys, a love story or two, a family story, growth in the Christian life. And Bud. Bud’s a very important part. =D But you have to read it to know.
Missionary WWII autobiography: Evidence Not Seen by Darlene Deibler Rose. She was a missionary POW of the Japanese. Such a sweet Christian. =)
Minister WWII autobiography (because it’s very different from the missionary category…right? =): The Tartan Pimpernel, by Donald Caskie. He helped allied soldiers escape from behind enemy lines. After reading that book, I wondered (only briefly of course) why anyone needed to write fiction, since truth is so interesting!
I’d better stop. Each book I think of is almost as good as the ones I’ve mentioned… Wait! One more. Modern missionary: Rescue the Captors by Russell Stendal. His parents were missionaries in Colombia, he had a business down there selling fish, and he was kidnapped by guerrillas for ransom. It’s an amazing story that’s still going today, because he and his family are still down there as missionaries. My favorite part about this book is his heart for everyone. God’s power definitely shines through in this book. =) And it’s free on kindle right now.
    ~ Liberty Bluebelle
“Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” II Corinthians 3:17

  2. “Kindle or paperback?”

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!PAPERBACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *runs screaming from the room because it should be SO obvious…..*

Lovely outfit, by the way 🙂 I love the necklace and earrings too!

    Liked by 1 person

  3. I LOVE that dress! It’s so pretty! The necklace also goes great with it.
I love finding new/interesting words. My favorite word is kind of strange . . . it’s calamity. I know it means disaster, but it sounds so pretty! 😛
WOW, 500 physical books? How do you store them all?! Haha! This year I’m trying not to buy any physical books to save money AND space. I’ve succeeded so far, except for one book which wasn’t available on Kindle, so it didn’t count. XD
Great post! I liked reading your answers!

    ~Lydia~ ❤

  4. Love the dress–great job!

13 ~ How many books do you own? (Be honest!) Not sure, either, but I think about 400 physical books and 1000 kindle books? I’ll probably be old and gray before I ever finish them all (if I do). 😉 I prefer physical books, too, really.

    That writing party sounds fun!

  5. This summer is filled with denim, natural colors, florals, and vintage styles. I love your floral dress, it’s so beautiful! All outfits need a good accessory, and your necklace is pretty chic to pair with your earrings and bracelets.
