Blog Party! // Day Two: Fashion + Giveaway

Blog Party Header

I started this blog with the desire to encourage other girls in their walk with the Lord and to show others in my situation and encourage them on how they can dress modestly, still be “in fashion” and have fun with it!  Since this blog was birthed out of that vision, I thought it only fitting that this day be dedicated to that and the giveaway as well! Let’s get this party started!Read More »

That’s right! The blog party that has been in the works is finally here! I am so excited! I can’t wait for all of you to join in on the fun! You are going to get to meet some of the bloggers I have come to know in this journey and hopefully get to know me a bit better! I can’t even believe it. . . the reason I decided to throw this party was for multiple reasons. My blog has grown a lot over the last several years, that and I had some awesome things I wanted to giveaway to all of you who have joined me on my humble journey and shared your encouragement over the years. And. . . I reached 200 followers. Numbers have never been a big deal to me. Maybe an “oh, that’s cool”, but I would much rather focus on individuals and how special each person is than be that blogger with the bazillion followers. You all mean a lot to me as is evidenced by the fact that I do this blog for you all. I do this because I felt like God wanted me to share my heart and encourage others like me to follow Him. I hope and pray with all my heart that I have achieved that with this blog. So without further more ado, let’s get into today’s blog party happenings!Read More »

Writing Prompt 047

Sophia’s fingers hurt from twisting them around each other as she had been doing for the majority of the morning. Asking father for something could either be extensively intimidating and rejection enhancing, or it could be the complete opposite; Full of excitement, hope and happiness. It really all depended on his mood and the sensibility of the request in question.

She took a deep breath and straightened her shoulders. She was a descendant of a stalwart, brave lot, full of knights, nobility and even one famed ancestor who, though being a lady, had won in a jousting tournament against the king’s own bodyguard and most trusted knight. If only she could be more like Lady Agatha, the woman who, though dead these 30 years, was still talked about with pride and awe amongst the town folk. But Sophia was a timid girl. Always had been.Read More »

VAVC Vlog #6

I have two video offerings for you today! I hope you enjoy them! I am thinking about making videos a somewhat regular staple here on the blog. Even though they are a bit of work, I don’t think they are any more than a blog post. And, I don’t know. I have some already made ready to go up and I haven’t posted them. So get ready for some vids!

Starting off is VAVC Vlog #6. Ivy had some great questions. . . again. Feel free to join the fun!

And here is a random bit of me singing. I loved these hymns and sang them once during my ride, so I pulled out my phone and sang it again. I hope you enjoy it! Don’t mind the terrible quality. Open-mouthed smile

Be sure to comment, let me know what you think, or just say Hi! Love you all!

Feminine Peplum Tunic Tutorial

I had this fabric in my stash for a while. I purchased it when it was on sale from Girl Charlee, my favorite knit fabric resource. They always have some gorgeous florals and if you know anything about me you know that I absolutely adore florals. This one was so pretty and after making a batch of headbands, I saved the rest for myself. I had the idea for this peplum, relaxed knit tunic top that I wanted to make and I decided to go for it. It only took me a few hours to draft the pattern and sewing it together was a snap. It took less than 20 min to have it assembled. This pattern was super easy and I can’t wait to make another one!Read More »
