  1. I have curly, coarse red hair which I’d like to grow a little longer. I’ve tried tons of different “home” remedies and none of them really work. I’m kind of forced to use a product in my hair, (leave in conditioner, gels, hairspray) because it gets soooo out of control if I don’t. I try not to use a lot of shampoo only conditioner but it seems to never want to grow and when it does it’s so brittle at the ends! Whenever I wash my hair too, a whole bunch of it comes out! (I’m like, is there that much dead hair everytime I wash it?)

Would the no poo method work with coarser, curlier hair and help with the brittle ends? If so what ratio of the baking soda and vinegar would you use? Is there healthy leave hair products out there that you know of?

Thanks so much! Your hair looks beautiful! ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Hi Laura,
It wouldn’t hurt to give it a try, but if your ends are brittle or dry, getting a trim so they are fresh, then doing a coconut oil hair masque once a week might be a good idea. I had an issue last year where I was losing a lot of hair and it turned out to be a vitamin d deficiency. Make sure you are getting enough of that and that you are also eating enough protein as that promotes healthy hair, skin and nails. I would recommend the Dr bronners product that I mentioned in the video as well. 1/2 cup of baking soda in a cup full of water should be sufficient for your scalp. Don’t rub the ends of your hair, just your scalp and rinse it through. Let me know if you have any more questions and I hope I was helpful!

  2. Ok…I’m about to order Dr. Bonner’s hair rinse because I want to try this!! I was wondering, how often do you wash your hair in the winter? And after the hair rinse, do you rinse your hair with water?
