My rating: 5 out of 5 stars

This book was adorable!  I loved all the illustrations, the interesting, fun facts that punctuated the chapters, and the writing style was a great way to give useful information while keeping the reader’s interest. I flew through this in one afternoon, and really enjoyed my time spent in the pages.

I truly think this book is incredibly useful. Some of the information was about things I already know about, but there are so many girls in this world who were never taught how to cook, how to do laundry, how to stay on a budget, (still learning that one). I see then every day in my life and it really is sad. But there is something about being strong in being able to handle those things yourself, and I would highly recommend this book. It never made me feel like an idiot, and it gave me all the tools to be successful.

I especially enjoyed the chapters about finance and the one about relationships. The directions were given in a fun, quirky manner that had me giggling at times, and the fun facts fascinated me! This book would be great for high-school and college age girls.

Not only will you walk away having learned something, but you will also enjoy the ride!

Does this book sound interesting to you?

  1. Sounds like it might actually be a fun read! (And the cover is so bright and cheery too.) 😛

I don’t know if you happen to be a fan of Louisa May Alcott (author of Little Women), but I’m hosting a reading challenge + giveaway in her honor on my blog this month. Do stop by if you’re interested!
