What I Made: A Wedding Dress

R&L006

Pardon the plethora of pictures, but I talked about this a lot last year when it was happening. If you are a new follower, you might not know, but last year, my older brother got married and I had the privilege of making the bride’s wedding dress. My new sister-in-law was a dream to work with, and she was the best first client a girl could ever ask for. I worked with her to design a dress from scratch that would be just what she would want to wear on the day that she said “I do.” Thankfully, she loved it.

I hope to split this up into some different posts because I took lots of pictures and video of the process. I am excited to finally share it with you! Enjoy looking through some wedding photo’s below. I tried to pick the ones that highlighted the dress the most. I also had the honor of working with her mom’s wedding dress as she wanted some of those elements in her actual wedding gown. The veil and the buttons were created from the wedding dress her mom wore when she got married.

Enjoy!

  2. It’s so gorgeous! You’re truly talented, Victoria. I can only imagine from my rare attempts at sewing that that lace must have been tricky to work with, but it looks so perfect! Great job!
