Kiera is looking forward to her eighteenth birthday. The official end of school, a party with her best friend, and chocolate cake. A sudden military draft, no possible exemptions, had never crossed her mind.
Kiera is terrified! Getting drafted would mean leaving her family, her little friend Jade—life as she knows it.
A surprising offer from Brennan Stewart just might be the answer to her prayers, but an even worse trial leaves her with one question…
If God truly loves her, why did this tragedy happen?

Hi guys! Kate here. I’ve been a writer for 14+ years, and a serious one for 5 of those. It’s still a little surreal to me that I’ve finally written and published a full-length novel! It’s been a long road of notebook paper and chocolate wrappers, rewriting and reworking. All along God has been with me, teaching me reliance on Him, flexibility with my time and goals, and bravery to share my art.
You might be at the very head of the trail, first notebook in hand, newborn story idea flitting back and forth across your brain. Or you may be a veteran with a sack full of well-worn novels written by you and a new one writing itself at lightning speed.
Wherever you are on the journey, always remember that your writing is more than a hobby, a job, or a sport. Anything you do when given over to God can be used by Him to bring you closer to Him and reach out to others.
Be diligent. Learn the lessons He is teaching you. Enjoy the journey! ❤ 😉
Thanks so much for sharing, Kate! Make sure you add the book to read and anxiously await it’s arrival! I know I will!
By God’s Grace,
