How I Taught Myself To Write // Part 1

Some sun andvitamin sea

As an author, a writer and a joyful learner, this process wasn’t as hard as most people think it is, and to be honest, sometimes the overly heady people who are telling you that you aren’t qualified until you have your degree are wrong. But I’m not here to tell you what “qualified” or “ready” is, because honestly those two arguments really get me going. But I’ll go up on my soap-box about that another day. Read More »

Say Yes To No

Say yes to no

How is that little conundrum for you? Honestly, I am writing this post for myself, so if you see me not doing what I preach, call me out. Nicely, of course. 😉

But honestly, when did it become a bad thing to say no? Where did we fall off the tracks of setting boundaries and let our fences be blown over without a fight? Since medieval times, territories and boundaries were fiercely fought for. Someone steps a toe on your property? Hit them over the head! WIP Mood Board // SAFE

WIP Mood BOard

Hello my lovelies! I’m here with a special treat for you! I have a wip novel that I am (no-duh) working on. 😀 I actually had the opportunity to pitch it to a publisher and they are *interested* in it! Which means, over the next month or so, I will be re-grooming this book and getting it ready to submit to them. I thought I would share with you my mood board for it and some inspiration pictures since, to date, this is probably my all time favorite WIP pinterest board that I have curated. It just gives me all the feels and I instantly feel like I am in the book. Which is awesome and the purpose of these things, right? Without further ado, here is the working title and synopsis for your enjoyment!Read More »

He wants to see your face, to hold your heart in His hands, to be in communion with your spirit. Not because he wants to keep tabs on you. Not because He wants to make sure you are doing all the right things. Not because He is waiting for you to mess up.Read More »

Listen and Obey // Hearing God’s Voice

Listen and Obey

This topic is so far reaching and I could speak so much about it. Part of the purpose of this blog is to share my heart with you and this is something that has been becoming more and more a part of my life as God continues to do more and pour our more of His spirit on me and my family. I’ll start off by telling you a little story because one of the things that builds our faith is by hearing the stories of how God works in His children’s lives encourages us.

There are so many times in life when I don’t obey God’s voice, so I’m not perfect and I am still learning, but this past weekend, I had a huge opportunity that I was so thankful I didn’t blow past.Read More »
