I feel like I’ve talked on this topic before, but it has been striking home to me more of late. But, first, there is something that I must stress to you.
God is a relational God. What that means, my dear ones, is that He is seeking you. He is chasing after you, desiring you to turn to Him and to create a relationship with Him. He loves you THAT much. He wants to see your face, to hold your heart in His hands, to be in communion with your spirit. Not because he wants to keep tabs on you. Not because He wants to make sure you are doing all the right things. Not because He is waiting for you to mess up.Read More »
This topic is so far reaching and I could speak so much about it. Part of the purpose of this blog is to share my heart with you and this is something that has been becoming more and more a part of my life as God continues to do more and pour our more of His spirit on me and my family. I’ll start off by telling you a little story because one of the things that builds our faith is by hearing the stories of how God works in His children’s lives encourages us.
There are so many times in life when I don’t obey God’s voice, so I’m not perfect and I am still learning, but this past weekend, I had a huge opportunity that I was so thankful I didn’t blow past.Read More »
You know that song. . . Be careful little ears what you ear, eyes what you see, etc?
In this day and age, it’s even harder, but that much more important to keep those things sacred and to be incredibly thoughtful and careful about what we put before us.Read More »
I’m sure you have heard it before, and if you are anything like me, you probably felt it before as well. My testimony is worthless, do I even have a testimony? What’s the point of sharing anything about my life when no one is going to be able to relate to it? I don’t come from anything crazy, I don’t have anything special. Read More »
On a much lighter note this week, I am here to talk about creativity.
In my homeschool experience, I was very fortunate. Homeschooling gave me the opportunity, the parents, and the time to explore my creative niches which then blossomed into several entrepreneurial businesses, websites etc. If I had been to school and had to sit at a desk for 8 hours a day, I would never had the time or energy to learn how to knit, crochet, sew, cook, bake, write, blog, design, and numerous other activities that I found great delight, purpose, and joy in.Read More »
After giving it some thought, I really wanted to do this series. I will be posting each week about a different aspect of why I want to Homeschool my children. So many people make judgements out of not knowing, and I really want to educate those who might not understand why I am going to choose to homeschool. As a homeschool graduate, a lot of people like to think that I am going to homeschool my kids because of one of the following:Read More »
We have come off of a VERY COLD SPRING. *tries desperately hard not to be mad about it. Just this past week it has finally started to feel like spring, but then it got to be into the 80*’s and I fell a bit like we got cheated out of spring and shoved into summer instead.
I feel like once the weather gets warm, we naturally tend to take on a bit of a spring in our step, but there are definitely some ways we can help that energy along. Here are 5 ideas to get you going.
1)Switch to an iced beverage. When it’s cold outside, no one wants to drink anything icy. But now that’s it’s warm, we can finally indulge! If you are a coffee drinker, switch from your latte to an iced coffee or even, heaven of all heavens, a frappuccino! If tea is your thing, try iced tea. Even putting ice in my water has really made me drink more and enjoy it!Read More »
