The “My Testimony is Worthless” Syndrome

My testimony is worthless syndrome

I’m sure you have heard it before, and if you are anything like me, you probably felt it before as well. My testimony is worthless, do I even have a testimony? What’s the point of sharing anything about my life when no one is going to be able to relate to it? I don’t come from anything crazy, I don’t have anything special. Read More »

Why I Want To Homeschool: Creativity

On a much lighter note this week, I am here to talk about creativity.

In my homeschool experience, I was very fortunate. Homeschooling gave me the opportunity, the parents, and the time to explore my creative niches which then blossomed into several entrepreneurial businesses, websites etc. If I had been to school and had to sit at a desk for 8 hours a day, I would never had the time or energy to learn how to knit, crochet, sew, cook, bake, write, blog, design, and numerous other activities that I found great delight, purpose, and joy in.Read More »

Why I Want To Homeschool: Intro

After giving it some thought, I really wanted to do this series. I will be posting each week about a different aspect of why I want to Homeschool my children.  So many people make judgements out of not knowing, and I really want to educate those who might not understand why I am going to choose to homeschool. As a homeschool graduate, a lot of people like to think that I am going to homeschool my kids because of one of the following:Read More »

5 Ways To Put The Spring In Your Step

We have come off of a VERY COLD SPRING. *tries desperately hard not to be mad about it. Just this past week it has finally started to feel like spring, but then it got to be into the 80*’s and I fell a bit like we got cheated out of spring and shoved into summer instead.

I feel like once the weather gets warm, we naturally tend to take on a bit of a spring in our step, but there are definitely some ways we can help that energy along. Here are 5 ideas to get you going.

1)Switch to an iced beverage. When it’s cold outside, no one wants to drink anything icy. But now that’s it’s warm, we can finally indulge! If you are a coffee drinker, switch from your latte to an iced coffee or even, heaven of all heavens, a frappuccino! If tea is your thing, try iced tea. Even putting ice in my water has really made me drink more and enjoy it!Read More »

How To Find Your Passion

I have many passions in my life. A lot of them are displayed in my blog and you get to see the things that God has given me and how I cultivate them, but I know there was a time when I wondered what my passion was. (and before we go any farther, let me just tell you now, that there is nothing wrong with having more than one) *hides* What? I’m not talking about myself at all. *tries to hide the categorized 15 totes with different crafting projects in the garage*

What is passion? Passion is something that you have a strong attachment or emotion over. Another word for what I am trying to get at is your gift. The gift/s that God has given you. How do we know that those are? Here are some tips to find yours. Read More »

Childlike Faith

Childlike Faith

My post a few weeks ago about why I’m not depressed on Valentine’s day sums up and glanced over a topic that is very important to me. My faith in God over providing my spouse.

When people question my belief in that, I always say, God created the world, He set everything in motion and with all of that, I think He is pretty capable of picking providing my spouse for me. I know that He has a unique story for each of us. My faith has been built most recently by the stories around me, however, even before then, I had no doubt that in God’s perfect timing, and in His own perfect way, He would provide my husband for me. Why I Don’t Get Depressed On Valentine’s Day

Why I don't get depressed on

I know valentine’s day has come and gone already this year. But, even though it is late, I still wanted to share my thoughts on the subject.

So many people these days, are so depressed when it comes to this day of the year. And it all comes down to being alone. They are lonely, they wish they had a significant other, etc.

And while I could jump on the bandwagon, because I too am single and I too can’t wait to start a life with someone special, I think it’s so sad that people are depressed about it. I could also go on about so many things in this post, but I want to talk about why I am not depressed about it.Read More »
